2. Purpose and acceptance

These terms govern the use of the Service and purchases made in the app. By creating an account, joining an album or using the Service, you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the Service.

3. Description of the Service

Reveal is a shared camera for events. A user (the “host”) creates an “album” for an event, sets its rules (number of photos per participant, reveal time, gallery visibility) and invites participants by QR code or link. Participants take a limited number of photos during the event. The photos are then revealed in a shared gallery at the time chosen by the host.

Compatibility and requirements. The app requires a smartphone running iOS 16.4 or later, or Android 7.0 (Nougat, API 24) or later, a working camera and an active internet connection to upload and view photos. It is not accessible through a web browser: each participant must install the app to join an album.

4. Account and access

Creating an album requires an account (sign-in through Apple or Google). Invited participants join an album without creating an account, simply by entering a first name after installing the app.

The Service is available to individuals aged 15 or over. Below this age, use requires the consent of a holder of parental responsibility.

You are responsible for keeping access to your account confidential and for the accuracy of the information you provide. You may delete your account at any time from the app settings.

5. Prices and purchases (terms of sale)

Creating an album is free for up to 5 participants. For larger groups, the host purchases a tier for the relevant event corresponding to the desired maximum number of participants. Participant upgrades may be purchased during the event. There is no subscription: each purchase applies to a single album.

Prices are displayed in euros, inclusive of all taxes, in the app before any payment. Purchases are processed by the App Store (Apple) or Google Play (Google), depending on your device, under the terms applicable to those platforms. Billing, payment and any refunds are managed by these platforms in accordance with their own terms.

Right of withdrawal. The Service constitutes digital content and a digital service provided immediately after purchase. By confirming a purchase, you request immediate performance and expressly waive your 14-day right of withdrawal, in accordance with Article L221-28 of the French Consumer Code. Refund requests remain possible under Apple’s and Google’s policies.

Statutory guarantee. As a consumer, you benefit from the statutory guarantee of conformity applicable to digital content and services (Articles L224-25-12 et seq. of the French Consumer Code).

6. Your content and image rights

You retain ownership of the photos you take through the Service. You grant the publisher a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license solely to host, store, reproduce and display your photos for the purpose of providing the Service (including displaying them in the gallery of the album to which they belong). This license ends when the photos are deleted.

Each user is responsible for the photos they take. When photographing people at an event, you agree to respect their image rights and privacy and to obtain the necessary permissions. The host ensures that participants at their event are informed about the use of Reveal.

The host may view and delete any photo in their album at any time. Any user may report unlawful or inappropriate content to the contact address provided in Article 1; the publisher may remove any content that is manifestly unlawful or contrary to these terms.

7. Prohibited uses

It is prohibited to use the Service to: publish unlawful, hateful, violent or sexual content, or content that infringes the rights of others (image rights, privacy, intellectual property); harass or harm others; attempt to circumvent the Service’s technical limitations (including photo quotas); disrupt its operation or access it without authorization. The publisher may suspend or delete an account in the event of a serious or repeated breach, after notifying the user except in an emergency.

8. Data retention and deletion

The photos in an album are retained for as long as the account of the host who created it remains active, so that you can access them at any time. You may delete a photo, an album or your account at any time from the app: deletion is permanent and results in the erasure of the relevant data, subject to a technical delay of up to 30 days for backups.

An account that has been inactive for 3 consecutive years is subject to an email notification. If no sign-in occurs within 30 days of this notification, the account and associated photos are deleted.

If the Service is permanently discontinued, users will be notified at least 30 days in advance so that they can retrieve their photos.

Deleting an account results in the deletion of the associated data under the procedures described in this article.

9. Intellectual property

The app, the website, the Reveal brand, the logos, the interface and their content (excluding user content) are protected by intellectual property law and remain the exclusive property of the publisher. No use outside the Service is authorized without prior written consent.

10. Availability and liability

The publisher makes reasonable efforts to ensure continuous access to the Service but cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability. Use of the Service requires an internet connection, the quality of which is the responsibility of your provider. The Service may evolve, be suspended for maintenance or be interrupted.

The publisher shall not be liable for content published by users or for damage resulting from use of the Service that does not comply with these terms. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits the publisher’s liability where doing so is not permitted by law.

11. Changes to the terms

These terms may be amended, in particular to reflect changes to the Service or regulations. In the event of a material change, users will be informed through the app or by any other appropriate means before it takes effect. The applicable version is the one in force at the time of use.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by French law. Any dispute shall fall within the jurisdiction of the competent French courts, without prejudice to the protective rules applicable to consumers.
